Dear students,
Today you will read your homework from last week in groups of three or four. Then you will check your APA formatted in-text citations and references within your group before showing them to your teacher. You will be reminded what a paragraph is, as some of you are not writing in paragraphs. Then you will review APA style (pg 24-25 of Becoming a Better Writer). After this you will practice writing references in APA (a book, a newspaper article, a book chapter in an edited book, a publication by an organization, and a journal article). Finally you will write about a culture shock experience. If you have never experienced culture shock, you will have to research and cite in APA.
